The Region’s Principal Airline Training Symposium


 

This year’s event will be the 6th edition of the Asia Pacific Airline Training Symposium. Since its inception, APATS has shown consistent growth in delegate numbers and exhibit space. The Asia Pacific airline training community now recognizes APATS as the principle place to meet the key training decision makers from the region’s airlines, flight training providers and regulatory bodies. Last year over 300 training professionals attended the event.

APATS 2010 will take place at the fabulous Shangri-La Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. The conference programme will focus on quality of training, how do we measure quality and how do we deliver it? Technology will be a contributing factor as will environmental pressures, and against this backdrop training organisations will need to deliver increasing numbers of new pilots, driven by returning strong economic growth in the Asia Pacific region.

Since the violence erupted in Bangkok

last month we have been watching the situation carefully and with no guarantee of the safety of APATS delegates in view we have taken the decision to move the event. 

The dates remain the same; September 14-15, the new venue will be the Shangri La hotel, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. 
The Shangri La is set in the heart of downtown KL and has been recently refurbished to a very high standard. We are confident it will make a superb venue for APATS and we are pleased to have been able to continue APATS relationship with the Shangri La group. 
We will be using the Sabah and Sarawak Ballrooms on the convention level of the hotel.
