Avion and AeroStar Training Services have announced a partnership to offer FAA-approved Airbus A320 type rating training, ATP-CTP training, and other FAA programmes at the Avion Flight Training Centre at London Luton Airport. The announcement was made at WATS 2026 in Orlando.

There is currently no FAA-qualified A320 Full Flight Simulator in the United Kingdom. Once approved, pilots would be able to obtain FAA certificates and type ratings in the UK without travelling to the United States. FAA-based training is expected to commence later in 2026, subject to FAA approval.

The Avion Flight Training Centre operates an Airbus A320neo Level D Full Flight Simulator, designed and manufactured by Avion in the Netherlands.

"Until now, pilots seeking FAA-based A320 training had no option in the United Kingdom. This partnership with AeroStar changes that. We share the same values around quality and accessibility, and that makes this a collaboration we are genuinely proud to be part of," said Prachee van Brandenburg, CEO of Avion.

Avion is exhibiting at WATS at booth #500. Stop by to learn more.
