BAE Systems OneArc has signed a global reseller agreement with Skyline Software to include Skyline PhotoMesh in its SceneCast solution package.
SceneCast is a deployable system that captures real-world environments and converts them into terrain for training and mission rehearsal. The addition of PhotoMesh creates an end-to-end workflow, from drone surveying to terrain ready for use in simulation environments such as VBS4, within hours. Using Mantle, terrain can also be exported to other industry-standard formats.
Skyline PhotoMesh converts overlapping imagery from drones and other sensors into high-resolution 3D meshes, which OneArc software then processes into simulation-ready terrain.
"Adding Skyline PhotoMesh to SceneCast gives operators the capabilities they need to train as they fight, enabled by an end-to-end workflow ranging from drone surveying to realistic terrains ready to be used in simulation for mission rehearsal and training," said Earl Laamanen, Senior Director of Geospatial Engineering at OneArc.
"We have a long history of supporting defense forces through the GEOINT community. Becoming part of the OneArc ecosystem marks our first steps into the simulation community, where we look forward to seeing the output of our products being used for interactive training and mission rehearsal," said Blair Jenkins, Director of Business Development & Growth at Skyline.
