Learning technology and data specialists Aquila Learning have partnered with Mission Decisions to accelerate the delivery of assured Training Analysis and Design.

Mission Decisions’ securely hosted, open source and defence-tuned large language models (LLMs) provide Aquila Learning and Resource Management System (ALaRMS) users with the ability to generate training analysis data and associated design content in seconds.

Through a process called Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), the LLM remains independent from the source information and provides a robust audit trail and assurance by referencing the original source material at paragraph level. Training Analysts and Designers are able to review generated content before it is committed to the ALaRMS database and as they accept, reject or modify the content, the AI learns and improves future answers.

Mark Radbourne, Aquila Learning CEO said, “Our proof of concept integrations have shown that we can deliver a step change in productivity for our users, without compromising on verification & validation requirements, or quality”.

Colin Hillier, CEO of Mission Decisions commented, “It’s important for us to work with teams like Aquila Learning who have specialist domain expertise and genuine vision for the learning technology space. They get it. In the future it will be difficult to justify training design and development without this technology, and Aquila is leading the way to realise its potential.”

In addition to the use of secure, open source, LLMs in training design, the companies are exploring additional AI and ML solutions for resource schedule optimisation, tailored learning, virtual instructors and to accelerate new user onboarding.
