Flame Aviation has successfully completed the installation of a V9000 Commander Cabin Fire + Smoke Trainer for Philippine Airlines (PAL) at its Ninoy Aquino International Airport hub in Manila.

Installation was completed in less than two days since the fire trainer is designed to be a ‘plug & play’ solution. Apart from the physical installation on a flat surface, power and water were the only required connections.

Following installation, PAL’s instructors and technicians received practical training on operating and maintaining the fire trainer. A ceremony rounded off the training, where all participants were issued with certificates.

Furthermore, the fire trainer comes with a syllabus, questionnaire and instructional videos to enable the airline to commence training immediately after its entry-into-service.

“The outstanding preparations and the adequate support of Phillipine Airlines has resulted in a smooth and successful installation of the fire trainer. We are proud to have Phillipine Airlines as a customer!” stated Robin Pijnaker, Founder and Managing Director of Flame Aviation.

PAL operates a total of 82 planes made up of Airbus A320s, A321s, A330s and A340s, Boeing 777s and Bombardier Q300s and Q400s.
