L3 Commercial Training Solutions (L3 CTS) has been awarded a major relocation and upgrade contract by Japan’s All Nippon Airways (ANA).

Under the new contract, L3 CTS will relocate 12 full flight simulators and eight lower-level devices from ANA’s current training facility in Tokyo to its newly built 22-bay training centre in the same city.

In addition, L3 CTS will be carrying out substantial updates to many of ANA’s current devices, including the introduction of its latest RealitySeven computing suite and additional aircraft system updates.

“This latest contract builds on L3 CTS’s strong relationship with ANA, which recently purchased full flight simulators for both its A320 and 787 aircraft,” said Robin Glover-Faure, Acting President of L3 CTS.

“This is a new chapter in our long-standing relationship with L3 CTS. Training is one of the most important elements for the safety and quality of airline business. The success of this project will greatly contribute to high-quality training for ANA Group in the future,” commented Shinzo Shimizu, EVP and Chairman of the Operation Division, ANA.
