ALSIM has sold an AL42 simulator to Canadian flight school Journey Air, which will become the first of its type in North America.

Jonathan Carnie, Journey Air’s Operations Manager, explained, “Our aim was to find a flight training device which would replicate our multi engine and instrument training aircraft as closely as possible, enabling us to maximise the transfer of training from the device to the aircraft and keep our operation running as efficiently as possible.”

Located at Windsor International Airport in Ontario, the simulator – a replica of the Diamond DA42 – will help train future pilots on the University of Windsor’s Aeronautics Leadership Programme developed with Journey Air in response to the growing demand for pilots.

Elsewhere, ALSIM recently entered a partnership with China's AXAviation.
