In February, airBaltic is to host Pilot Open Days in several cities including Vilnius, Helsinki, Amsterdam and Stockholm as part of its plans to recruit more than 100 pilots in 2018.

Pauls Calitis, the airline’s SVP Flight Operations, said, “Our route map is expanding, the fleet is growing and more passengers are travelling with us. Such development requires our team to be highly motivated. And naturally, due to the production increase, airBaltic will recruit more pilots this year. Working at airBaltic has many advantages for all positions, but considering our growth and the changing pilot industry, we are now further improving our pilot remuneration system.”

During the Pilot Open Days, interested individuals will have a chance to learn more about the carrier and its flight crew vacancies. They will have opportunity to ask questions directly to airBaltic chief pilots and find out how to join the airline. Participants are not to fill out an application form before the events but are advised to bring their CV and some personal identification when they attend.

In December 2017, the carrier also opened the application process for its newly established Pilot Academy at airBalticTraining.
