Manchester, UK-based EDM has been named as ‘One to Watch’ in a shortlist of leading companies published as part of the eleventh European Business Awards.
EDM was shortlisted due to its exceptional performance over the past 12 months as well as for reflecting the Awards’ core values of innovation, success and ethics. 2017 saw the company’s turnover increase by 65% to over £24m and profit levels soar four-fold.
With 95% of the company’s turnover coming from exports, growth was fuelled by major contract wins with companies including American Airlines, Delta, China Southern Airlines, All Nippon Airways, BAE Systems, Boeing Defense, Babcock and Lockheed Martin.
With staff numbers doubling to over 250, EDM invested recently £2.5m in additional premises and machinery to cope with its rapidly increasing order book.
The grand final of the European Business Awards will take place in May 2018.
