Pan Am International Flight Academy has installed an Airbus A320 door trainer at its Miami, Florida facility.
Removed from an Airbus A320 tear-down project, the door was shipped to Miami where Pan Am’s technical team went to work designing, building and installing the trainer. Equipped with evacuation in-floor lighting, the door functions in normal and emergency modes.
The company will utilise the new door trainer as part of flight attendant, maintenance and pilot training programmes, but it will also be available for wet or dry-leasing.
The door trainer joins Pan Am International Flight Academy’s fleet of Boeing 737, 757, 767 and MD11 door trainers in addition to its new Cabin Service Evacuation Trainer.
