The Beechcraft 1900D (B1900D) simulator developed by SIMCOM AVIATION TRAINING EUROPE has been certified to FTD2 and FNPT II MCC level by the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC). The certification is the result of a project designed to support European and African operators with the latest wide-angle and high-definition visual simulation technologies.
The simulator was manufactured by French company 6Mouv and is equipped with Rockwell Collins' Pro Line II avionics and a Garmin GTN625 flight management system. It means that for the first time in France, pilots can train in Initial, Renewal or Extension and have the PBN IR affixed during their test.
The Beechcraft 1900D simulator is located near at the new SIMCOM AVIATION TRAINING EUROPE Training Centre in Roissy, close to Charles De Gaulle Airport, alongside a Citation Jet and a Beech200 simulators. It is now available for dry lease or for complete programmes under the ATO SIMCOM FR0258.
With an operating capacity of around 320 hours per month, the simulator will train about eight crews per month to meet the needs of B1900D operators while leaving room for the extension of pilots currently operating the aircraft.
Denis Forestier, President of SIMCOM AVIATION TRAINING EUROPE, commented, “This new simulator is a major step to make the sky safer by allowing operators to train in Europe. The proposed level of realism will allow them to increase the quality of their training and the safety of their flights while keeping control over the overall cost of this training. They can also use this simulator to prepare their technicians for Run & Taxi operations.”
