Pilot Flight Academy (PFA) invested €6-million in new Diamond Aircraft planes and simulators including four DA42-VI aircraft, four DA40-NG aircraft and three DA-42 FNPT II simulators to expand its training program by the end of 2018, when it will have more than 300 student pilots.
PFA’s CEO Frode Granlund says the company is expanding to be in a better position to engage in new pilot training contracts. PFA recently signed a contract with L3 Commercial Training Solutions for cadet training, and it is discussing contracts with other players and airlines for ab-initio pilot education.
