Astrom Aviation Technology released its Self-Adaptive Assessment System (SAAS) that can be used for pilot, maintenance and flight attendant training.
SAAS offers exam functions statistical algorithms to:
- Calculates the question difficulties automatically to save the instructor from manually setting the question difficulty level and produce better accuracy.
- Calculates the ability of trainees with an ability parameter that better measures a trainee’s performance, rather than using raw scores.
- Uses a CAT algorithm to more efficiently calculate the ability of trainees than the traditional fixed-sized exams.
