CAE’s newly released 2018 CAE Airline and Business Jet Pilot Demand Outlook shows the business-jet pilot population will reach 65,000 by 2028, an increase of 18 percent, with a turnover rate of almost 100 percent. More specifically, 10,000 new business jet pilots will be required to sustain growth and 40,000 new business jet pilots will be needed to support retirement attrition across the segment over the next 10 years.

The report’s 10-year view gives fleet operators key insights on the future need for professional pilots in business and commercial aviation, building on the markets’ key drivers, variables and trends. CAE President and Chief Executive Officer, Marc Parent says the report also demonstrates ways the aviation industry can cope with the rising demand for business jet pilots.
