VA Airline Training now offers a choice of aircraft types for APS MCC training. With the installation of a new Airbus A320 FTD1 simulator, trainees can now choose between the existing B737-800 or the A320 for their APS MCC training.

VA will also offer its trainees a greater choice of start dates, by switching from fortnightly courses to weekly courses starting in April. Running courses each week will double current capacity and enable VA to meet the growing the demand for its AirlineReady APS MCC course whilst maintaining small class sizes.

The simulator will be interchangeable between the A320ceo and the latest A320neo. VA’s B737-800 simulator is being upgraded to FTD1 this month. The FTD1 certification means that both simulators can also be used to deliver type rating training for its airline customers.
