FlightSafety now offers more than 259 courses approved for education benefits by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), at 12 Learning Centers in the United States. FlightSafety continues to work with Veterans Affairs to expand the number of available training programs and locations. VA approval to provide training for the Airbus Helicopters AS350B3, EC130T2, EC135 and the Bell 407GXP at the Denver Learning Center is expected within a few months.

Steve Gross, senior vice president,Commercial said, “We will continue to work with the U.S. Veterans AffairsDepartment to qualify more of our courses and Learning Centers to help veteransprepare for a career in the business and commercial aviation industry, or toenhance their current skills.”

The approved courses are available undermany VA benefit programs to veterans who wish to pursue careers as professionalpilots or to experienced pilots for initial or recurrent training. NationalGuard members, reservists and active duty military may also qualify forsubstantial assistance for FlightSafety training.

Type-specific training is offered ona wide variety of aircraft built by Airbus Helicopters, Bell Helicopter,Bombardier, Dassault, Gulfstream, Leonardo Helicopters, Sikorsky and others.Non-aircraft-specific training provided by FlightSafety such as ATP CTP,instrument ratings, multi-engine certification, airline transport flight instructorand dispatcher are also approved by the VA.
