Skyborne Airline Academy is launching the UK’s first Boeing737 MAX Airline Pilot Standard Multi-Crew Co-Operation course (APS MCC) to helpits cadets significantly boost their employability prospects.

The UK CAA-approved course is available as a standalonemodule for pilots who have completed their Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) andMulti-Engine Instrument Rating (MEIR) elsewhere. The course is also a significantpart of Skyborne’s flagship EASA Integrated ATPL and Combined Modular ATPLcourses.

During the APS MCC course, cadets will undertake advancedswept-wing jet aircraft training using airline Standard Operating Procedures.The regulatory requirement for FSTD training is doubled from 20 hours to 40hours, giving cadets even more time in Skyborne’s Boeing 737 MAX simulator whencompared to standard MCC training.

Lee Woodward, Chief Executive Officer, Skyborne, says: “Thethree-week course was introduced by EASA in late 2017 to deliver enhanced MCCtraining, and we are one of the few flight training institutions to beincluding this in our Integrated programme. Only cadets who achieve therequired performance level in their final assessment will be issued with an APSMCC certificate, giving their future employers more confidence as they begintheir careers as airline pilots.”
