L3 Commercial Aviation has received a contract from SpiritAirlines for a range of devices from its training systems portfolio. Thedevices will support Spirit as it continues to enhance its Training Center inMiramar, Florida.
L3 will deliver a wide-ranging and integrated trainingsolution, from tablet to Flight Training Devices (FTD). In total, it willsupply 10 new fixed-base devices, including two Level 5 A320 CEO/NEO ConvertibleFTDs, four Flat Panel Trainers and four dual-screen Virtual Flight Deckstations, as well as a tablet-based Flight Management System Trainer andcustomized ETHOS Systems and Procedures suite.
“We have invested in widening our whole product portfolio tooffer a complete spectrum of high-quality training devices that can supportairlines across their training needs,” said Robin Glover-Faure, president ofCommercial Training Solutions, which is part of L3 Commercial Aviation.
All products — from the tablet to Flight Training Devices —will contain the latest software and technology, providing an integratedtraining solution for Spirit Airlines.
