CAE and SAS announced the extension of their exclusivelong-term pilot and cabin crew training contract. Under the terms of theagreement, CAE instructors will deliver Airbus A320, A330, A340 and Boeing 737full-flight simulator (FFS) pilot training to the airline’s pilots near SASheadquarters, mainly in CAE Copenhagen, CAE Oslo and CAE Stockholm for afurther period of five years. In addition, SAS will have access to train onCAE’s Airbus A350 full-flight simulator in CAE London Gatwick and CAE Madrid.The airline’s cabin crew will also continue to train in CAE’s training networkin the Nordics as part of this agreement renewal.

“CAE and SAS have a longstanding relationship of more than10 years with the provision of training equipment services, initial and recurrentpilot training, and cabin crew training,” said Nick Leontidis, CAE’s group president,Civil Aviation Training Solutions. “With training centres located very close tothe airline’s operating base, CAE is well-positioned to continue to support SASas the airline continues to grow.”

In support of this agreement, CAE will deploy an Airbus A320 NEO FFS at CAE Oslo by the second half of calendar 2020.
