BAA Training Vietnam have unveiled its new aviation training centre in Ho Chi Minh City ahead of its August launch.

Located 18km from the airport, the 3,000 square metre facility can house four full flight simulators and has studying and briefing rooms, a VIP lounge and accommodation.

The modern centre will start providing operations with Airbus A320 pilot training in August as the state-of-the-art Airbus A320ceo full flight simulator (FFS) is currently being assembled and is not scheduled to arrive until the end of 2019.

The company will also provide wet and dry lease FFS services to corporate clients and is planning to add Flame V9000 Commander Fire Fighting Trainer by the end of 2019.

"Airlines in Vietnam keep announcing fleet expansion plans –  the national carrier alone has recently announced plans to acquire 50 new narrow-body aircraft including Airbus A320," said Egle Vaitkeviciute, CEO at BAA Training.

"With the modern training facilities and equipment, experience and deep know-how we are ready to accommodate Vietnamese pilots with European standard aviation training solutions."
