Wayman Aviation Academy has earned accreditation from theAccrediting Council for Continuing Education and Training (ACCET), certifyingthat Wayman Aviation Academy is following the best practices of the U.S.Department of Education.
The Academy has operated for over 32 years and is thelargest professional flight school in South Florida. It began the process ofseeking accreditation in 2017. The methodology focuses on student’s rights andprotections, including particular scrutiny of the school's cancellation policyand a meticulous review of its refund calculations. The accreditation requiresa complete, public catalog listing all staff, courses offered, and schoolpolicies.
As part of the certification, management and instructorsreceived continuing education in admissions, teaching methodology, and more.ACCET auditors reviewed the academy’s finances to assess and ensure the safetyof students' funds. Accreditation will open the gates to greater financial aid,simpler student visas, and expanded academic certification.
