Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) has selected L3Harris Technologies to provide two level 5 compliant Flight Training Devices (FTDs) and a Virtual Flight Deck to help prepare students for professional pilot careers.
The devices, basedon the CRJ700 aircraft type, will feature an aircraft-specific flight deck thatoffers the form, fit, feel and function of the actual aircraft, as well as maintenancetraining features. The devices, which are used by airlines and trainingproviders across the globe, will introduce students to operations with regionaljets before they join the airlines.
