In September 2019, Fidelity Flight Simulation Incorporateddba F2Si received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval of its ModularAviation Training Equipment (MATE) as a certified Diamond DA20/40, AdvancedAviation Training Device (AATD).
The FAA approval of the Diamond MATE AATD will benefitflight schools, students, and pilots. Now instrument rated pilots can legallymaintain their instrument currency solely using this training tool. This AATDmay also be used by student pilots to credit hours toward pilotcertificates/ratings.
