FISO

Italy's Flight Simulator Centre (FSC) has presented its first simulator for flight information service operator (FISO) training. It is for flight school students and institutes that offertransport & logistics courses.

The acronym FISO indicates a specific professional figure in the field of air traffic management. License holders can operate on certifiedAir Traffic Services Areasin Italy and some abroad. They will provide the Flight Information Service (FIS) and manage the VFR / IFR traffic inside air spaces classified “G”.

FSC said the FIS simulator creates an area for the air traffic safety service, integrated with aircraft piloting stations reproducing all the movements present above the airfield, approach, and ground movements in the airport.
