BAA Training is expanding in Spain. Being a global aviation training provider, BAA Training chose the location and started the establishment of a training center near Barcelona–El Prat Josep Tarradellas Airport.

By establishing BAA Training Spain, the company is to open a 5300-square-meter moderntraining center with the new training equipment, classrooms, briefing rooms anda lounge. According to the BAA Training representatives, BAA Training Spain isset to operate seven full flight simulators (FFSs) by 2023, becoming thebiggest training center in Southern Europe.

As the building reconstruction work is already underway, the first two FFSsare already scheduled for 2020. The Airbus A320ceo FFS is bound to be ready fortraining in August, while the second one, Boeing 737NG, is planned to startoperation in September. With all the seven simulators in operation, BAATraining Spain will be ready to accommodate more than 51 thousand flighttraining hours and provide recurrent pilot training for approximately 6,000pilots yearly.
