Utah Valley University School of Aviation Science has partnered with SkyWest Airlines to provide students with a clear path to the commercial aviation field upon graduation. The SkyWest Pilot Pathway Program offers enrolled student pilots one-on-one mentorship opportunities, enhanced company seniority, guaranteed final interview with SkyWest Airlines and $15,000 in tuition reimbursement.

“UVU Aviation is proud to be affiliated with SkyWestAirlines through their Pilot Pathway Program,” aviation department chair, RandyJohnson, said. “The tuition reimbursement aspect of that program will be atremendous help to our students and will help provide SkyWest with a supply ofhighly qualified First Officers.”

Eligible students will earn membership in the program whilestill completing their degree at UVU, and following a successful guaranteedfinal interview, have the potential to walk into a job with SkyWest upongraduation, as well as receive tuition reimbursement.

The partnership will only benefit students in the aviationprogram at UVU and creates advancement opportunities for students by helpingthem find employment post-graduation. This partnership and program incentivizestudents to build exceptional flight skills and classroom knowledge for careersin aviation.
