BAA Training are buying nine RealitySeven full-flight simulators as part of a multi-million-dollar contract with L3Harris Technologies. BAA Training said it was the first independent aviation training centre to make an order of this size.
The FFS will be from both the Boeing and Airbus aircraft family. These include Boeing 737NG and Airbus A320neo.
The first four sims should be ready for training in nine-12 months. BAA Training will place them at its headquarters in Vilnius and facility in Barcelona.
They will implement the second phase by the first quarter of 2022, with the remaining five simulators going to its centres in Spain, Vietnam and Italy.
BAA Training highlighted the reliability, maintainability and supportability of the devices in the announcement with L3Harris.
“BAA Training’s selection is testament to the quality of our devices and the skills and expertise of the engineers who develop them,” said Robin Glover-Faure, VP Sales and Marketing, Commercial Aviation, L3Harris.
L3Harris will be among the exhibitors at the World Aviation Training Summit from April 28-30 in Orlando, Florida.
