Indian ATO Flight Simulation Technique Centre (FSTC) has inaugurated its new eight-bay pilot training facility in Hyderabad.

An A320neo, Bombardier Dash-8 and ATR72-600 simulator occupy three of the bays with another five simulators positioned at FSTC's Gurugram facility.

Municipal Administration and Urban Development Minister K T Rama Rao inaugurated the facility.  Dignitaries from MoCA, Indian regulatory body  Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and airline partners attended.

"The future of civil aviation in India remains bright despite this temporary setback. Investments in partnerships will hold the industry in good stead," Rama Rao was quoted as saying by Indian media.

"This facility is a great opportunity for Hyderabad and will result in a lot of business and training opportunities for the region."

FSTC describes itself as "the most advanced full-flight simulation training company in India". Endorsed by DGCA and EASA, they also have facilities in Gurugram. Clients include various Indian and Southeast Asian airlines.
