Skyborne Airline Academy is hosting an online open day as they go more virtual amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

The 20-minute online tour showcases its Gloucestershire Airport HQ, its aircraft and simulators to prospective trainees and their families.

There is a video presentation which covers the application process and training schedule for Skyborne’s Integrated and Modular ATPL programmes.  Viewers can also meet current trainees, who are continuing their studies through remote learning.

"The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic is a fast-developing situation for the aviation industry, and during this time we are implementing a series of virtual measures to ensure business continuity," said Ian Cooper, Chief Operating Officer, Skyborne.

He added Skyborne were also bringing in online assessments to avoid delays to the application process.

"We are still very much inviting students to apply for a place at Skyborne and are hosting interviews via video call."
