“We are making a commitment to transform the definition of airline cleanliness – Delta Clean,” says Delta Air Lines Chief Customer Experience Officer Bill Lentsch in a YouTube video (you can watch it here).

By early May, allaircraft will be “fogged” with a hospital-type disinfectant before each flightat every station in the Delta network, domestic and international. Handsanitizers will also be provided at airport counters.

Delta is also using an EPA-registered disinfectant to wipe downcommon surface areas in galleys and lavatories.

The airline is also streamlining onboard foot and beverage services tolessen physical touchpoints between passengers and crew.

United Airlineswill use an electrostaticfogger to disinfect the air and surfaces within the cabin on all internationalarrivals into the US.

American Airlines and Unitedsaid they are also using high-grade disinfectants and multipurpose cleaners onall touch points:window shades, armrests,tray tables.
