L3Harris-RealitySeven-A320

Air China has selected L3Harris Technologies to provide a range of pilot training simulators to support the airline’s strategy for growth as the industry prepares for recovery in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

L3Harris will provide two A320 full flight simulators (FFS) and one A350 FFS which include the latest technology available, such as an electric motion system and the latest computer architecture, along with one A320 flat panel trainer (FPT). The devices will add to the current L3Harris A320 FFS, which was certified in 2017. The devices will be installed at Air China’s training center in Beijing and will be in operation within 18 months.

These simulators will enable Air China to provide a more advanced and progressive learning environment for its pilots. The acquisition of the devices is part of Air China’s wider plans to prepare the operations for growth following the impact of COVID-19 on the industry.

How is L3Harris increasing the training effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of its pilot training? Read more in  Stalled, But Not Stopped.
