Adacel Technologies Limited has been awarded a contract from the Saint Lucia Air and Seaports Authority (SLASPA) for an air traffic management (ATM) system. SLASPA will take delivery in 2022 of Adacel’s Aurora ATM for two airports as part of the Authority’s plan to transform Saint Lucia’s economy and revolutionize its position in the regional and international aviation industry.

The Hewanorra International Airport (HIA), located on the south side of the island, serves as Saint Lucia’s international flight and cargo hub. The airport is now undergoing a major redevelopment project and the Adacel Aurora ATM system will be installed in the new air traffic control tower to provide Air Traffic Controllers with the latest technology to manage air traffic. The system will also be deployed in the existing tower at George F.L. Charles (GFLC) Airport in Castries, located on the northwest side of the island, supporting regional air travel connections.
