The British Women Pilots' Association has opened up 15 scholarships this year for female pilots, with applications being accepted now until April 7th. One of the British Women Pilots' Association’s key aims is to promote the training and employment of women in aviation, and to assist women in gaining pilot licenses. A portion of the its membership fees are used to fund the scholarships below.

Three BWPA Flying Start Scholarships consisting of £1500 will be offered for new, inexperienced pilots to gain their first qualifications.

Two BWPA Flying High Scholarships, each for £1000, will be offered for licensed pilots who wish to gain further qualifications.

One BWPA CATS Aviation Training Scholarship will be offered for the full value of the CATS Aviation Training CPL or ATPL (A or H) distance learning theory course.

Two BWPA Bristol Groundschool ATPL Scholarships will cover half the value of the Bristol Groundschool ATPL (A or H) course.

When the pandemic is passed, a pipeline of new commercial pilots will again be needed. Women alone can provide a virtually unlimited supply of candidates. Find out more in  Woefully Under-Represented.

One BWPA 624squadron.com Scholarship will be offered for a female aviation enthusiast for her own special mission and flying adventure, donated in memory of 624 (Special Duties) Squadron Royal Air Force.

Two BWPA Easy PPL Ground School Scholarships will be offered that cover the full value of an Easy PPL ground school course.

One BWPA Helicentre Aviation CPL(H) Scholarship wil be offered to subsidise the cost of an integrated CPL(H).

One BWPA Helicentre Aviation Introductory Scholarship will be offered to subsidise the cost of a two-day introductory helicopter training course.

Two BWPA Flight Deck Wingman Scholarships will be offered to cover the full cost of an Airline Assessment Preparation Course and a Pilot Interview and Group Exercise eBook.
