The third installment of our CAT Leader Forum Webinar Series took place on Thursday May 27 with a informative discussion about Evidence Based Training and Competency-Based Training and Assessment protocols.

The video recording of the discussion, along with a detailed workshop report, will be available for Halldale Members to download shortly. In the meantime, here are five key areas that our expert panel agreed upon.

  • EBT exposes the need to translate actual observable behavior into practical tools for the instructor.

  • The age myth has been busted, a good instructor is a good instructor, regardless of age.

  • Successful EBT implementation requires full cooperation with the local authority from inception, they are part of the solution.

  • We must be cautious of ‘over data and under analysis’.

  • Extraordinary collaboration between ICAO, IATA, EASA and IFALPA to support EBT implementation

Be sure to sign up for the next installment of the CAT Leader Forum series, a discussion on Big Data.
