Leading Edge Aviation has revealed a new bespoke accommodation for pilot training students ahead of its official opening this summer in Kidlington, England. The new building will be added to the LEAL property portfolio and has been designed specifically for the growing academy who now boast over 150 students at its Oxford base. Students will share two room apartments with en-suite bathrooms and sleek modern interiors including fully fitted kitchens and living areas. Every apartment has its own laundry facilities the building also features a number of spacious roof terraces.

This investment follows a number of key enhancements made by Leading Edge as they continue to thrive despite a difficult year for aviation. The academy, who delivers a high tech and personalised approach to commercial pilot training, is constantly delivering new and insightful approaches to a demanding course. Just earlier this year they launched their re-imagined APS MCC course, which features a Virtual Reality walkaround of the Airbus A320 flight deck – invaluable for students revising ahead of their final assessment.

Chief Talent Officer Katie Broadhurst commented “Our students are at the heart of our academy so it’s important to us to give them the very best facilities at every step of their training. By building this new accommodation we’ve been able to reduce their journey time, in fact they’re now an easy cycle ride from both our main academy and sim centre.”

The new accommodation sits in the centre of Kidlington and is surrounded by local facilities and a variety of outdoor activities.
