FlightLogger-Arrival-Departure

FlightLogger has launched its new departure/arrival board, which is integrated into the FlightLogger flight school management platform. With the new Departure/Arrival board, FlightLogger has added a solution to provide valuable, real-time information to pilot students, instructors, and staff working at pilot training organizations using FlightLogger.

According to FlightLogger CEO Kenneth Jeppesen, the new departure/arrival board adds a central point of flight information – one that pilot training organizations can easily display on their info screens as well as on the personal devices of their users.

“The system picks up live data directly from the database of our partners’ FlightLogger platform, where all flight scheduling and live registrations are simultaneously updated,” explains Kenneth Jeppesen.

This way, the scheduling of aircraft and simulators gets updated in real-time on the departure/arrival board. Flight registrations that are done live onboard the aircraft are instantly displayed directly on the Departure/Arrival board, giving ground personnel, instructors, and students full information about delays, fuel levels, and other valuable information that might affect their next flights.

One of the integrated features of the new Departure/Arrival board is one-click access to live flight tracking using any of the free online tracking services like AirNav RadarBox, FlightRadar24, and FlightAware.

“For the typical pilot training organization, this feature is a smart way to save some money by eliminating the need for otherwise expensive aircraft tracking hardware installed onboard their aircraft since most aircraft already have the necessary equipment for flight tracking via such free online services,” Kenneth Jeppesen explains.

Each aircraft shown on the Departure/Arrival screen contains a link that opens another browser window displaying live tracking of the flight via the training organization’s chosen provider.

While FlightLogger has invested heavily in developing the new Departure/Arrival board, FlightLogger partners will not pay extra to get it, as it is simply added to the current solution for all FlightLogger partners.
