Women in Aviation International (WAI) congratulates 48 members who have been selected as Spring 2021 scholarship recipients thanks to a generous $250,000 grant from the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation, as well as a $6,000 WAI scholarship.
Scholarships include funding to further members’ interests in air traffic control, aviation maintenance, flight training, helicopter ratings, and space. New to this round of scholarships are four scholarships, each worth $3,000 for WAI Chapter members outside of the United States, to be applied towards completion of an additional flight certificate.
With the additional Spring 2021 scholarships, total WAI scholarships awarded in 2021 are valued at over $731,800, and more than $14.5 million since 1995.
WAI members are encouraged to apply for WAI’s 2022 scholarships, now, with applications due Tuesday, October 12, 2021. Currently, there are 99 scholarships totaling $480,505 offered for flight training, engineering, maintenance, dispatch, drones, and professional development for individuals in all stages of life. Additional scholarships will be added regularly, and details of each scholarship opportunity are available on WAI’s website.
