Delta Air Lines is has opened up recruitment for fall 2021 and plans to bring back more than 1,600 candidates who were previously in training or had a conditional job offer prior to the pandemic, for a total of 3,000 flight attendants by the summer of 2022. Delta also has plans 1,000 pilots, more than 2,000 airport customer service and cargo workers, and 1,000 mechanics. Additionally, nearly 1,200 positions are being recruited to support its Global Cleanliness initiative in key locations, including Atlanta, Detroit and Salt Lake City, as well as to help with customer service issues such as wheelchair staffing.
