The R&D team at RSi, headed by VP of Optical R&D Marc-Antoine Lemay, has successfully engineered a new type of mirror. Made of a proprietary composite material, Nexglass is able to achieve the same optical quality as glass, while being stronger and lighter with imperceptible seams between panels. Intended for Level D pilot training applications, Nexglass mirrors are integrated to form horizontal fields of view of up to 360-degrees.

"We believe Nexglass is the future of collimation, combining the strengths of both Mylar and glass,” said Lemay.
