In line with the gradual recovery of the aviation market, Latvian airline airBaltichired a total of 559 employees in 2021, including 162 former employees of the company who were rehired.

Throughout 2021, airBaltic hired 239 operations and maintenance personnel, 174 cabin crew and 62 pilots. Currently the company has a total of 1,558 employees.

airBaltic is continuing active recruitment, and currently has more than 40 open vacancies, seeking more than 400 additional employees in total.

“As more aircraft join our fleet this year, we will require additional staff going forward,” said Martin Gauss, Chief Executive Officer of airBaltic.
