Halldale Group Editor Marty Kauchak is on site at Helicopter Association International’s Heli Expo 2022 in Dallas, Texas. He filed several reports from the show floor on safety, training and simulation developments.
Simulation and training companies are helping to take training for prospective and current commercial helicopter pilots to new levels of rigor and fidelity. Businesses in this S&T market are meeting training enterprise requirements by offering increasingly capable training devices throughout the continuum of learning, from full-flight simulators to desktop trainers.
Industry teams are further elevating their offerings to this market, in part, by bringing to bear technology enablers from cloud computing to increasingly realistic visual displays.
At the same time, companies are maturing reconfigurable training devices and other concepts that have found favor in the recent past with air training organizations and end users’ training departments.
Following are brief reports on some of the S&T products and systems featured at Heli Expo 2022.
