Astrom Training Solutions released its new CBT courseware for the Boeing 787-9 in accordance with the latest version of the Flight Crew Operating Manual. It includes an overview of each chapter, a QRH index after each chapter, utilization of high-definition 3D models, and is customizable.
The purpose of the chapter overview is to enable students to quickly gain an intuitive understanding of chapter contents, rather than launching directly into technical knowledge. Chapter summary content provides the design principles and advantages of each system, expanded knowledge points, and anatomical diagrams of parts vividly displayed to increase visual engagement.
The significance of the QRH index is to ensure students understand the meaning of EICAS information in abnormal situations more quickly and intuitively, and the checklist also serves as a convenient reference for pilots.
The courseware is created in a full 3D virtual environment, with life-like 1:1 features that re-create the relevant system components of a Boeing B787-9. The 3D graphics makes the explanation of the courseware principles clear and accurate. Also, by using 3D models with optional components, customized versions of the courseware can be generated quickly and easily.
This course is not an off-the-shell product, but serves as a baseline that each client can customize to meet their training requirements. Astrom’s courseware can be customized to show airline branding, emphasize specific aircraft features, and create a unique learning experience for pilots.
