  • Skyborne is an Approved Learning Provider for military personnel and service leaders

The Armed Forces Covenant is a promise from the nation that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, are treated fairly.

Bronze award holders are self-nominated by employers who pledge to support the armed forces, and are open to employing reservists, armed forces veterans, cadet instructors and military spouses or partners.

In May 2021, Carrie Sheehan, Sales Manager at Skyborne (pictured above) signed The Covenant. Sheehan is a Royal Air Force (RAF) veteran and began her military career at the age of 16. Her time in the RAF included roles in flight operations, air traffic control and as an instructor, with multiple tours across the UK and Afghanistan.

In June 2020, Skyborne was named as an Approved Learning Provider for serving military personnel and service leavers, allowing them to use up to £2,000 per year of funding from Enhanced Learning Credits (ELC) towards the cost of their pilot training.

Skyborne also offers fast jet, multi-engine and rotary conversion courses, enabling military personnel to convert their existing military qualifications to a UK CAA commercial licence, as well as Flight Instructor conversions and Instrument Ratings.
