The Virtual Asian Aviation Education & Training Symposium (vAAETS) 2022 is an official event of the Korean Ministry of Land Infrastructure and Transport (MoLIT) and is hosted by the Korea Airports Corporation, KAC. This international event takes place annually to address the leading issues in aviation training with particular focus on Asia.

The additional aim is to support the Korean national aviation development plan by showcasing international and Korean training technology and ideas to help build the capacity and capability of the Korean national training industry to meet current demand and with a view to build it as a centre of training excellence able to export training capacity to neighbouring counties and wider afield.

Reflecting this drive for growth, a recent survey published by the global law firm, White & Case LLP, resulted in 85 percent of respondents stating that Asia Pacific was likely to be the fastest growing aviation region.

Because AAETS is designed to foster engagement between the international and Korean training communities it provides an exciting opportunity to showcase your capabilities to this rapidly growing market.

AAETS presents a comprehensive conference program, developed by Halldale with guidance from our hosts, which focusses on Pilot training and will include an in depth look at:

  • EBT: Training Methods and Implementation, the EBT Instructor Training
  • Refresher and Recurrent Training: Training Methods, Implementation and Train the Trainer.
  • New Technology including UAM, especially infrastructure, global trends in licensing and applications
  • Expansion of  VR/AR/XR in pilot training.

Global experts from major international airlines and training providers have been invited to speak, sharing examples of best practice based on their experience and knowledge and at the time of writing EVA Air, Singapore Airlines and Emirates have already confirmed based on formal presentations and in depth Q&A sessions.

Building on previous year’s successes vAAETS 2022 is expected to bring together up to 700 training professionals from around the world.
