In a direct location challenge to rival FlightSafety International, CAE announced on 11 May that they will locate a new business aviation training centre in Savannah, Georgia, home to Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation.

Scheduled to open its doors in mid-2023, the CAE Savannah training centre will be equipped with four Gulfstream-family full-flight simulators, maintenance training devices, briefing rooms, and classrooms.

FlightSafety International has had a strong relationship with Gulfstream since 1973, and offers pilot training on the GV, G280, G450, G550, G650 and G500/G600 series aircraft in Savannah. They also provide maintenance training, partnered with Gulfstream, as well as corporate aircraft-specific emergency procedures and cabin service training for flight attendants.

CAE currently offers G650 and G550 training in Las Vegas; G450, G550 and G650 in Burgess Hill, UK; and G450 and G550 in Shanghai, China.

Savannah will be CAE’s fifth business aviation training centre in the United States, along with Dallas East, Dallas West, Orlando and Las Vegas. CAE offers business aviation training on more than 80 different aircraft platforms and operates over 75 business jet full-flight simulators in a global network.
