Skyborne Airline Academy is hosting its first Cabin Crew Futures event on 9 June at its Gloucestershire Airport training academy, joined by leading airlines including British Airways and easyJet.

With demand for new cabin crew high across the UK, the aim of the day is to inspire the next generation, providing an opportunity to speak with current staff and learn more about what the job entails. The event is free to attend and is open to cabin crew and tourism students from further education colleges across the UK, as well as those with a passion for aviation.

Hattie Treacher Morley, Head of Cabin Crew Training, Skyborne, says: “Our industry is navigating its way through a cabin crew shortage, with airlines needing them more than ever to manage the expected busy summer period and beyond.”

On the day, there will be an exhibit area for airlines and cabin crew representatives, with experts on hand to answer questions. Seminars and hands-on workshops will also be held on topics within the cabin crew syllabus from City & Guilds, NCFE and BTEC qualifications. These include areas of responsibility, service, sales, safety and medical skills, as well as further details on the airline recruitment process.
