Raytheon UK and alta have entered a partnership to further support women in aviation and aerospace as they work together towards a gender-balanced industry.

alta is a mentor matching platform hosted by the Royal Aeronautical Society, and developed with a range of partners, to provide mentoring opportunities and a support network to professional women in the aviation and aerospace sectors as a practical solution to the lack of gender diversity in the industry.

Sarah Minett (alta Chair and Managing Director of Mission Systems at Collins Aerospace) said: “By bringing together the alta mentoring platform and Raytheon UK, more women than ever will have access to our ground-breaking resources for mentoring and training specifically developed to support and enhance their career in aerospace. Underpinning both organisations is a commitment to equality, diversity and greater access for women at every level.”

Sinead O’Donnell, (Director of Human Resources and Cultural Transformation, Raytheon UK), joined Sarah in celebrating the powerful move: “We have joined forces with alta as part of our commitment to building a fairer and more empowering industry for women. We will be actively promoting the alta platform with our women employees to provide them with more opportunity to develop their careers and their industry networks through mentoring. We celebrate the diversity of our workforce because we know it is key to unlocking our full potential.”
