Pilot Flight Academy (PFA) has partnered with Wideroe, the Norwegian airline, allowing student pilots to join their Cadet Pilot Pathway. The partnership between PFA and Wideroe aims to provide a direct path for pilots to launch their commercial pilot career. As part of the pathway, student pilots have the opportunity to complete their pilot training at PFA but with a direct route into a type rating and First Officer position at Wideroe.

The pathway offers a route to the flight deck of a Wideroe aircraft, with the expected requirement for 12 cadet pilots per year. This partnership will further strengthen the relationship between the airline and PFA, with the airline having acquired a minority stake in the Pilot Group business earlier in the year.

Stein Nilsen, Chief Executive Officer, Wideroe, says: “As a Norwegian airline we wish to offer this opportunity for young Norwegians wishing to develop their commercial flying career in Norway. By partnering with PFA, we are confident we can meet our pilot recruitment demands whilst maintaining our high operational standards. We initially expect to have a requirement for a minimum of 12 cadets each year.”
