The PlaneEnglish Aviation Radio Simulator, ARSim, provides students pilots the means to learn and master aviation radiotelephony in an interactive and realistic environment. AI-based air traffic controllers issue instructions and clearances and students are assessed on their ability to convey the right information using the correct phraseology by the proprietary speech analysis algorithms. Recent updates to ARSim now support visualizations of Primary Flight Displays, both analog and digital. Students are challenged to not only understand ATC instructions and clearances, but also to scan the flight displays and identify the relevant information needed to communicate the right information at the right time. Isolating radio communication training and increasing and challenging situational awareness will result in student pilots that are ready to take full advantage of flight simulator and live training, ultimately reducing training time and producing more effective pilots.

PlaneEnglish develops software tools that combine a simulator, instantaneous feedback, and a training curriculum to reduce training time and increase training effectiveness in all aspects of communications training. The PlaneEnglish Aviation Radio Simulator is available for iOS and Android on the AppStore and Google Play Store, as well as on the web. ARSim is available with a seven-day free trial as well as customization options and licenses for flight schools and other institutions interested in using the app in group settings.

PlaneEnglish will be exhibiting at this year’s 20th European Airline Training Symposium (EATS), taking place from 8-9 November 2022 in Estrel Hotel, Berlin, Germany. To learn more about these key features, visit PlaneEnglish at booth #128.
