As FEAM Aero continues their nationwide recruitment campaign, they have partnered with Aviation Institute of Maintenance and The Trades Workforce Foundation (TWF) to support students enrolled in career and technical education institutions to strengthen the skilled trades professional workforce. Their hope is to increase awareness of a potential career in aviation, as well as work with TWF to remove roadblocks to career education.

The goal of this partnership is to ease the financial burden of students interested in entering a career in aviation, developing a promising pipeline, and cultivating a strong workforce to support the growth of the industry.

Kerry Zickuhr, Director of Base Maintenance at CVG explains, “It’s important for FEAM to take the lead in the aviation industry and attract our younger generation into the aviation maintenance field.  Not only do we offer scholarships for their initial training, we offer employment for the new technicians to gain the valuable experience they need to succeed in this industry.

“FEAM is committed to building this workforce and providing meaningful career opportunities to graduates of the program. Together with AIM and The Trade Workforce Foundation, FEAM has committed to funding four Scholarships annually over the next decade.”

Wayne Sisson, Chief Operating Officer of FEAM Aero adds, “The Aviation Institute of Maintenance presently has 14 campuses across the US and is ideally suited to partner with FEAM on employment opportunities for their A&P graduates. The Charlotte campus graduated their first A&Ps in 2021, and FEAM has been fortunate enough to hire 20% of their A&P graduates to date.”
